Ballet at the Cinema: “LA FILLE MAL GARDÉE”

It’s the start of the 2025/26 live-streaming season at the Royal Ballet and Opera at Covent Garden, London. Ballet enthusiasts in Cascais and Lisbon can now avail of shows in London through the wonder of live streaming on local cinema screens. The first ballet of the season is La Fille mal gardée by the Royal Ballet’s Founding Choreographer Frederick Ashton. Escape to the countryside with Ashton’s ballet about a capricious girl who hopes to marry her love. Testament to Ashton’s boundless creative invention, the ballet is constructed like a brilliantly complex piece of clockwork with technically demanding choreography that stretches the world’s best dancers.

The event captains for Cascais and Lisbon will contact registrants directly regarding preferred seating and a group meal before the opera for those who are interested.
