Opera at the Cinema in Lisbon

Love and death, gods and mortals, heroes and villains: they’re all here, in the thunderous second chapter of Wagner’s Ring cycle. The Royal Ballet and Opera at Covent Garden, London, presents Die Walküre. Opera enthusiasts in Cascais and Lisbon can now avail of shows in London through the wonder of live streaming on local cinema screens.

Die Walküre (“The Valkyrie”), the second work of Richard Wagner’s four-opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen, has become the most performed opera of the cycle. Conductor Antonio Pappano and director Barrie Kosky team up for Wagner’s mythic adventure. Join your fellow IWP members for Opera at the Cinema.

The event captains for Cascais and Lisbon will contact registrants directly regarding preferred seating and a group meal before the opera for those who are interested.
