In 1513, Lisbon's first organised neighbourhood was born: Bairro Alto. Its streets are still lined with palaces, convents and houses that tell us the story of this ‘out of doors’ neighbourhood, whose creation was bound with the expulsion of Jews from Lisbon and the rapid growth of the main city of Portuguese maritime expansion. More than 500 years later, we're going to explore these streets and discover who designed, built and filled them with life over these centuries of existence!
