CORRIDA SEMPRE MULHER, RUN/WALK FOR CANCER

Run or Walk for a Good Cause - Venha Correr ou Andar Por Uma Boa Causa is

the theme of the Corrida Sempre Mulher which will take place at Parque das

Nações on Sunday, October 22. This annual event will raise funds for the Associação Portuguesa de Apoio a Mulheres com Cancro da Mama (APACM). It was explained to me by the director of the organization that the choice of the

expression “sempre mulher” (forever a woman) refers to the idea that the

essence of a woman will always remain, whether she loses one breast or both,

to cancer.

This will become an Annual Event for IWP and next year we would like to register as a team.
